We had so much fun yesterday at Samford After Sundown’s “Photographing Baby’s First Year” workshop! A big thanks to Alyce, who brought her little Lawson to be one of the models for the class, and another big thanks to Shannon, who brought Emerson! I tried really hard not to shoot, but I had to sneak in for a few shots of Emerson.

I’m going to be doing a “Photographing Baby’s First Year” workshop at Samford University on Saturday, December 5 from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. We will spend the morning going over tips on getting those special shots of your little sweetie, as well as covering all the best stages to photograph your baby in her first year. We’ll have a lunch break (you can bring your own, or eat at Samford’s food court) then after lunch we’ll use Samford’s beautiful campus and practice the tips with models.

This is a workshop for beginners. Bring your camera! A DSLR camera would be helpful, but is not required. To get more information, or to sign up, please go to the Samford After Sundown site.

I am taking a wonderful class at Samford after Sundown right now called Photography in Motion, taught by Billy Brown, a long time photographer of the Alabama Ballet. We have had so much fun over the last couple of weeks photographing several of Alabama Ballet’s fantastically talented dancers. They were so generous to come in for us! Here are some of my favorite images:
