My Betty Corning clematis is having a light rebloom right now. I can’t believe anything can bloom in this heat.
I just love this flower. She grows like crazy, looks like little girls in frilly skirts, AND is scented. Bliss.

We have had a tough time getting this session in. We have had softball and rain, but this weekend, we braved the intense heat to get a few of these siblings. They were great sports, and I’m glad we got some good ones!

I had the greatest time today photographing this wonderful girl. She should definitely consider modeling; she did such a great job. She also does a great back handspring!
Here’s one for mom:

and one for daughter!

I know I’m showing my age here, but one of my all time favorite song lyrics is in The Counting Crows song “A Long December”. It goes “I tried to tell myself to hold on to these moments as they pass”. That lyric rings true with me so often with my family. My boys are still so little that they are changing every second. Something will happen that is just so sweet and so beautiful that I am desperate to hold on to it, even as I know that soon it will be over.
This morning my 4 year old son was telling me about a boy in his class that had a “girlfriend”. I asked him about HIS girlfriend, and was informed that I was the only girlfriend he needed.
This image cracks me up every time I look at it, and now the new addiitons make it even better in my eyes. What do you think?

I just can’t resist. I’m finally done working on these, and I have to show a couple more of Tara and her little princess, this time in color. I just love doing newborn photos. It’s my best chance for cuddles without having another one myself yet!

My nephew turned 6 this weekend. I just can’t believe he is getting so big. It seems like just yesterday he was a newborn. We got him an iPod shuffle, and you would have thought he won the lottery. Kids are awesome.
Here are a couple from his birthday Saturday:

Cole and I have been having some very interesting coversations lately. The mind of a 4 year old is an amazing thing. We’ve been arguing over the existance of lunch jackets. What are these, you might ask? Well, we know them by their other name, life jackets. Cole swears that they are, in fact, lunch jackets, so called because of the possibility of eating lunch while on the water. Man, I love that kid!
Here he is, modeling his favorite tshirt.

Izzy is the brand new baby of my sweet friend Tara. She has the prettiest skin of any newborn I’ve ever seen.
See, Tara, we got some good ones!

I know I’ve already blogged images from this session, but I couldn’t resist posting one more. This one is just of a single curl, but I love it!
